Emap joins Every Can Counts

14/12/2009

Business-to-business publisher Emap is the latest company to join Every Can Counts.  The company launched the programme at its London head office in early December, setting up recycling points in office areas and installing an ‘ecopacteur’ can crusher in the main staff restaurant area.  It plans to roll out to its three regional offices early in 2010.

Championing can recycling within the company is Paul Sanderson, editor of Materials Recycling Week – the leading title in the recycling and waste management industry. Paul and his colleagues from MRW are part of a staff committee which is working to raise awareness of sustainability issues across the business and encourage colleagues to adopt more ‘environmentally responsible’ behaviours.

Emap Performance Director Tracey Gray kicks off Every Can Counts

If every one of Emap’s 1300 London office staff recycled just one drink can a day, over 6,500 cans would be recycled in a week – saving at least 100kg of metal.
