‘Can you kick it?’ in Victoria Park, London

In July we went along to Lovebox festival in Victoria Park, London with our ‘Can you kick it’ football challenge. In exchange for recycling drink cans, festival goers got to have a go at shooting the fastest goal in the speed cage competition.
A huge congrats to our winners, Koray and Annie, who managed to score the fastest balls of 68mph and 50mph respectively – well done guys!
Each can recycled saves energy and raw materials, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.  For example recycling one tonne of aluminium cans saves 9 tonnes of CO2 emissions. So it’s fair to say that the can recycling activities over the course of the Festival made a significant contribution to cutting the Festival’s carbon footprint.
