Unilever sees Every Can Counts as a good example of its business philosophy, which encourages staff to take ‘small actions to make a big difference’. The first site to introduce Every Can Counts is the company’s aerosol manufacturing facility in Leeds.

What we did

  • Assessed staffing and office environment to allocate bins, posters and table talkers
  • Introduced dedicated drinks can recycling points
  • Provided bespoke communications tools for Unilever
  • On site launch to promote Every Can Counts to the staff

How it counted

  • Contamination fell dramatically
  • Reduction in general waste from the sites
  • Increase in recycling across all material types due to the positive impact of Every Can Counts
  • Other Unilever sites around the UK actively encouraged to join Every Can Counts
